FPPV was engaged to undertake master planning and design for Mooroopna Park Primary School and three other schools in Shepparton as part of the VSBA ‘bundled’ approach to project delivery in regional areas. The master plans address entitlements based on planned enrolment and the schools' educational aspirations to suit contemporary teaching modes.

Mooroopna Park Primary School, located to the west of Shepparton on the far side of the river reserve, has a large site with a significant area affected by a flood overlay, limiting the available space for buildings. With minimal funding, the project at Mooroopna Park Primary School focused on addressing the school's major need for suitable learning spaces. Although the project may seem modest, the provision of an additional learning space represents a significant improvement for the school, and facilitates future extensions included in the master plan.

A key element of the project, though not immediately visible, was the upgrade of the power supply and main switchboard to meet current standards. This upgrade not only ensures compliance but also provides redundancy for future buildings, supporting the school's long-term development plans.

The master plan for Mooroopna Park Primary School reflects a thoughtful approach to maximizing the site's potential despite its constraints. By prioritizing the creation of flexible and functional learning spaces, FPPV has enhanced the school's ability to deliver contemporary education. The project underscores the importance of strategic planning and design in creating environments that support educational excellence and future growth.
