Upgrading a leased regional airbase to meet operational standards, works completed at Linga

Airfield included the design and construction of new mixing sheds and a multipurpose facility, to support firefighting preparedness and training.

Extensive hardstand area was provided around the mixing shed to enable safe refueling and loading of operational aircraft. New aircraft parking, taxiways, staff carparking and helicopter landing areas were also provided. Consisting of a mix of permanent and relocatable construction, consideration was given to allow future expansion of activities at the airbase, as well as the flexibility to relocate facilities should the lease be terminated.
