Delivered as part of the BER program, the new resource centre at St John’s Primary School enhances learning and collaboration, providing much-needed expansion to the school’s teaching spaces. Integrated seamlessly with the existing classroom buildings, the centre features an open-plan connection to the classroom wing, creating a fluid and accessible learning environment.
At one end, a dedicated library counter and workroom support the operational needs of the library, ensuring efficiency in resource management. A versatile meeting space accommodates school council meetings while also serving as a breakout area for teaching and small group learning.
Designed to foster both indoor and outdoor engagement, a large covered deck offers an inviting space for open-air learning, with steps leading directly to the existing sports courts—strengthening the connection between academic and recreational activities. In addition, upgrades to the toilet facilities ensure compliance with modern accessibility and safety standards, further improving the school’s infrastructure.
This new resource centre supports St John’s commitment to dynamic and inclusive education, providing students and staff with a flexible, well-equipped learning environment.
