Facilitating the upkeep of the local districts firefghting appliances, the Seymour District Mechanical Office and Workshop provides 8 vehicle work bays and office accommodation for personnel. Providing a street address to a simple shed, the simple canopy gesture to the office differentiates the building from the neighbouring industrial boxes. Wash bays, carparking and chemical storage locations were all carefully considered to provide safe and functional access.

Perimeter fencing and an automatic gate provide security to the site. An exercise in functional simplicity.
