Enhancing functionality and efficiency, the entry door refurbishment at Melbourne Law School resolved longstanding issues with the existing airlock sliding doors, including operational challenges and exposure to strong winds.
FPPV was engaged to implement a strategic upgrade, replacing the internal sliding doors with automatic revolving glass doors, improving climate control and accessibility. The project also included new entry mats, refreshed surrounding surfaces, and refinements to the curtain walls, ensuring a cohesive and modernized entry experience.
To meet emergency egress requirements, the adjacent curtain wall was modified to incorporate a compliant emergency exit door, reinforcing safety and regulatory standards.
This upgrade delivers a more reliable and welcoming entryway, improving user experience and ensuring seamless access for students, staff, and visitors.
