FPPV successfully completed a comprehensive redevelopment of the Noojee Depot, executed in three distinct stages. This project, finalized in late 2015, significantly enhanced the site's functionality and amenities, addressing the unique challenges posed by its steep, wooded terrain.

Stage 1 & 2 focused on essential infrastructure improvements, including the construction of new internal roadways and parking areas, advanced drainage systems, fuel storage facilities, and new storage and work sheds. These upgrades laid the groundwork for a more efficient and organized depot.

Stage 3 marked a transformative phase with the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a new, state-of-the-art office building. This new facility features crew amenities and an incident control centre, crucial for effective fire management operations. Additionally, the project included the relocation and installation of new portable buildings, the implementation of secure sliding gates, and comprehensive car parking upgrades.

The Noojee Depot's redevelopment required meticulous planning and execution to meet tight budget constraints and stringent timelines. The site needed to remain operational throughout the year, with the new facilities fully functional during fire seasons. To expedite the process, a prefabricated building was designed and constructed offsite, minimizing disruption and ensuring timely completion.

This project provided FPPV with valuable insights into the specific operational challenges faced by regional depots in forestry and fire management. The collaborative approach, balancing the diverse needs of department managers and site operations, resulted in a hybrid solution that met all stakeholders' requirements.

The Noojee Depot now stands as a testament to FPPV's commitment to delivering high-quality, functional, and resilient infrastructure, enhancing the site's overall efficiency and operational capacity.
